We are looking for a
Senior Technology Engineer - Oracle Database to join our team in Bengaluru. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Oracle database administration, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and automation. This role requires hands-on experience in managing complex database environments, ensuring high availability, and driving best practices for scalability and security.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and administer Oracle databases (versions 11g/12c/19c).
- Perform database upgrades, migrations, backup, recovery, and patch management.
- Monitor database performance and tune SQL queries, indexes, and overall database health.
- Implement and maintain high availability solutions (RAC, Data Guard, GoldenGate).
- Ensure security, compliance, and data integrity in accordance with organizational policies.
- Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to optimize database usage.
- Automate routine DBA tasks using shell scripting, PL/SQL, or other tools.
- Provide on-call support and troubleshoot critical production issues.
- Document database processes, standards, and guidelines.
Required Skills & Experience
- 7-10 years of hands-on experience as an Oracle DBA in enterprise environments.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle RAC, Data Guard, RMAN, and GoldenGate.
- Expertise in performance tuning and query optimization.
- Experience with database security, auditing, and compliance best practices.
- Proficiency in Linux/Unix environments and scripting (Shell, Python, or Perl).
- Exposure to cloud database services (AWS RDS/Oracle Cloud/Azure DB) is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Education
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Oracle certifications (OCP, OCM) preferred
