Job Description:
We are looking for a Senior Technical Writerwith58 years of experience in creating high-quality technical content for software products. This role demands strong technical acumen, attention to detail, and the ability to convert technical concepts into clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation. Experience in the cybersecurity domain and SaaS-based solutions will be a significant advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain various forms of technical documentation including:
- User Manuals, Administration Guides, API Documentation, Integration Guides
- Knowledge Base Articles, Release Notes, Product Videos, In-App Help
- Collaborate closely with Product Management, Product Architects, Engineering and QA teams to understand product features and customer use cases.
- Write documentation for technical audience (security admins, IT admins, CISO).
- Gain a deep understanding of the products and services to effectively document features, functionality, and best practices.
- Create content strategies to improve product adoption, usability, and customer satisfaction.
- Participate and stay aligned with product development cycles to ensure documentation readiness for each release.
- Manage documentation projects with minimal supervision, driving schedules and reviews independently.
- Apply structured writing principles, maintain consistency in terminology, and adhere to brand and documentation standards.
- Review peer content, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior writers where applicable.
Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science engineering or equivalent technical writing experience.
- 58 years of experience in technical writing, preferably within a product-based company and with exposure to SaaS-based products.
- Strong technical background with the ability to grasp and explain cybersecurity and IT concepts clearly.
- Strong writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail and clarity.
- Experience working in the cybersecurity domain is a plus.
- Proficiency in authoring tools (e.g., Adobe RoboHelp, Markdown, XML).
- Familiarity with APIs, YAML, JSON, REST APIs, and ability to document technical integration scenarios.
- Exposure to Content Management Systems (CMS), version control systems (Git, Bitbucket), and issue tracking tools (JIRA).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with localization and internationalization of technical content.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
