Job Description
We are hiring a Senior Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist to join our Source to Settle (StS) team in an internal, permanent position. You will be supporting different projects, customer enhancements, new company code/plant deployments and multimarket support. This is a handson role combining SAP configuration, solution design, production support, testing, documentation and enduser enablement. You will work closely with the Global Supplier Management / Workplace Services (GSM/WS) Value Team, Finance, Tax, Compliance, Master Data and IT teams, and with external vendors as needed.
You will be responsible for
- Designing and shaping the global Accounts Payable SAP solution in line with GSM/WS objectives and StS strategy.
- Configuring and maintaining SAP AP functionality (invoice verification, payment runs, vendor accounts, bank interfaces, settlements) in ECC or S/4HANA and supporting different integrations or interfaces.
- Delivering enhancements, plant rollouts and AP-related projects endtoend produce functional specs, coordinate builds, testing, cutover and postgolive support with internal teams and vendors.
- Providing 2nd/3rdline production support investigate incidents, perform rootcause analysis, apply fixes and restore service with minimal business impact.
- Ensuring AP processes and solutions meet regulatory, tax, sustainability and quality requirements for the business and regulated environments.
- Define/execute functional and integration tests, support UAT, and create user guides and knowledge transfer documents.
- Engaging stakeholders and managing vendor relationships gather requirements, align expectations and oversee vendor deliverables and timelines.
- Supporting change and release management using JIRA and ServiceNow (SNOW) or similar ITSM tools; contribute to continuous improvement and masterdata governance.
Required Experience And Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, IT, Finance, Accounting or related field.
- 9+ years strong technical experience in SAP ECC AP/Settlements and banking interfaces; SAP ECC or S/4HANA configuration experience required.
- Integration experience with Direct/Indirect procurement and related systems (Ariba, or Concur).
- Solid understanding of finance and accounting principles relevant to AP.
- Proven experience producing functional specs, configuration guides, and delivering enhancements or projects.
- Strong testing and production support skills (integration/regression testing, UAT, rootcause analysis).
- Familiar with JIRA and ServiceNow (SNOW).
- Excellent English verbal and written communication; able to manage multiple priorities and interact with senior stakeholders.
- Experience coordinating with vendors and Application Maintenance/support teams.
Nice to Have
- xRay (or equivalent) testing experience and familiarity with HP/ALM.
- Healthcare or pharmaceutical (life sciences) industry experience.
- Experience with Agile methodology and tools.
