Full Stack Solutions Architect (Senior)
Architect — Solutions Practice
AI-Led Development | Retail & E-Commerce
Job Responsibilities
Solution Architecture & Hands-On Delivery
- Design end-to-end scalable, resilient full-stack architectures for retail and e-commerce platforms across web, mobile, and headless/commerce APIs.
- Personally prototype and contribute production-grade code across front end (React/Next.js, TypeScript) and back end (Node.js, Java, Python, or Go).
- Architect cloud-native solutions (AWS/Azure/GCP) with microservices, APIs, containers, IaC, and solid CI/CD and DevSecOps practices.
- Guard delivery quality — reviewing designs and code, unblocking teams, and owning performance, scalability, and security.
AI-Led Development & GenAI
- Champion an AI-led way of working — AI-assisted coding, testing, and review — so small teams deliver faster at higher quality.
- Architect and integrate customer-facing AI features into client solutions: conversational commerce, semantic/vector search, personalization, and GenAI content.
- Design LLM/RAG solutions responsibly — retrieval pipelines, embeddings, prompt orchestration, guardrails, evaluation, and cost control.
Talent Enablement (Staffing Advantage)
- Partner with our recruiting team to define the technical profiles, screen candidates, and validate skills for delivery teams.
- Mentor and upskill engineers on the bench through mentoring, reusable training, and pairing — building capability, not dependency.
- Advise on hiring and staffing decisions so we scale delivery capacity efficiently as demand grows.
Practice & Offering Development
- Define and package service offerings and reusable solution accelerators for retail/e-commerce and AI-led development that we can sell repeatably.
- Build delivery playbooks, reference architectures, estimation models, and reusable code/IP that reduce cost and de-risk each engagement.
- Help select technology partnerships and platform choices (commerce, cloud, AI) that shape our go-to-market.
Pre-Sales & Solutioning
- Lead technical client discussions, discovery workshops, and proposals — translating business needs into clear, credible solution designs and estimates.
- Produce solution archite
- ctures, statements of work, and proof-of-concept demos that win client confidence and close deals.
- Act as the trusted technical advisor to clients and to our internal sales and account teams.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years in software engineering, including 3+ years in a solutions/software architecture capacity preferably in the Retail domain/ E-Commerce platforms & applications.
- Proven full-stack expertise: modern front-end (React/Next.js, TypeScript) and back-end services (Node.js, Java, Python, or Go).
- Strong, demonstrable experience delivering retail or e-commerce platforms and applications at scale.
- Hands-on experience integrating AI/GenAI into products — LLMs, RAG, embeddings/vector search, or ML-driven personalization.
- Deep cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP): microservices, APIs, containers/Kubernetes, and infrastructure as code.
- Client-facing and pre-sales experience — scoping solutions, writing proposals/SOWs, and presenting to stakeholders.
- A self-starter comfortable operating with ambiguity and building something new with limited resources.
- Excellent communication and the ability to lead technical decisions across distributed, remote teams.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
- Prior experience in a services, consulting, or systems-integration environment (ideally helping start or scale a practice).
- Experience with headless/composable commerce (commerce tools, Shopify, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Adobe Commerce/Magento, BigCommerce).
- Familiarity with search/personalization stacks (Algolia, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, vector databases) and OMS/ERP/PIM/payment integrations.
- Exposure to MLOps/LLMOps, model evaluation, and responsible-AI governance.
- Experience working with or within a staffing/talent organization.
What You Bring
- An owner's mindset — you are excited to build a practice, not just execute a role.
- A builder's instinct — you architect by prototyping, and you make reusable assets others can run with.
- Commercial awareness — you understand cost, margin, and how technical choices affect what we can sell and deliver.
- Pragmatism and high leverage — you get more done with less and multiply the team around you.
What We Offer
A rare chance to shape a new services business from day one and define its technical DNA; a fully remote, flexible environment; direct influence with leadership; and competitive compensation and benefits with clear upside as the practice grows.
