Job Description - QA Engineer (Manual + Automation Testing)

Position: QA Engineer
Experience: 4 Years
Location: Bangalore
Employment Type: Full-time

Role Summary

We are seeking a skilledQA Engineerwith a strong foundation in bothmanual and automation testing. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Selenium/ playwright/ cypress with any of the languages java/ typescript/ javascript, along with a solid understanding of QA methodologies, Agile practices, and collaboration with global teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze requirements and create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
  • Write, manage, and executemanual test casesfor functional, regression, and integration testing.
  • Build and enhance automation frameworks using Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
  • Develop and maintain API test automation using Karate or RestAssured.
  • Identify, document, and track bugs using tools likeJIRA.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Contribute to setting upQA processes and best practices.
  • Work in close coordination withinternational teams.
  • Understand and contribute toAgile processes.
  • Participate insprint planning, daily scrums, and release planning.
  • Continuously improve testing strategies and tools.

What qualifications will make you successful for this role

  • Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts using any of the supported languages (Java or TypeScript).
  • Build and enhance automation frameworks using Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
  • Develop and maintain API test automation using Karate or RestAssured.
  • Identify, document, and track defects using tools such as JIRA.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the SDLC.
  • Contribute to establishing and refining QA processes and best practices.
  • Work closely with international teams and support global deliverables.
  • Actively participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily scrums, and release planning.
  • Continuously improve testing strategies, tools, and automation efficiency.
  • Playwright and GitHub Copilot experience is preferred.
