Senior Risk Manager (Trading)

Our client is an established commodities trading platform seeking a senior risk professional to lead and enhance its risk management framework while partnering closely with key business stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee market, counterparty, concentration and operational risk across commodity trading activities.
• Maintain and enhance risk frameworks, policies, controls and reporting processes.
• Monitor trading exposures and ensure adherence to approved risk limits.
• Conduct risk analysis, stress testing and risk assessments to support decision-making.
• Partner with trading and support functions to strengthen the overall risk management framework.
• Provide independent risk oversight and reporting to senior stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Minimum 8 years experience in commodity trading risk management.
• Strong exposure to commodities and derivatives markets.
• Experience developing and implementing risk frameworks, policies and controls.
• Understanding of market risk methodologies and risk reporting.
• Ability to operate independently and challenge risk-taking activities when required.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
