Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Review and interpret applicable U.S. regulatory compliance requirements; assess policies, procedures, files, and transactions for compliance.
  • Perform analysis, problem-solving, and sample testing of work completed by others to ensure adherence to regulations and internal policies.
  • Deliver high-quality work products and provide support to team members within the service line.
  • Follow the work plan defined by the Senior/Manager and meet deadlines consistently.
  • Assist in providing compliance-related services to financial services and other industry clients as needed.
  • Participate in calls with the U.S. onshore team to discuss progress, quality, and productivity.
  • Collaborate effectively as a team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (M.Com/B.Com/MBA). A major in Banking is a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the banking industry, with strong preference for experience in reviewing and interpreting regulations, policies, and procedures related to deposits, loans, and other banking activities.
  • Solid understanding of HMDA and HELOC regulations, including data validation, reporting requirements, disclosures, lending activities, documentation reviews, and compliance monitoring.
  • Hands-on experience with TILA, TISA, and Regulation DD compliance, including consumer and deposit account disclosures, APR/APY and interest calculations, fee disclosures, advertising compliance, and regulatory testing.
  • Experience conducting compliance reviews, transaction testing, file reviews, quality assurance assessments, and identifying compliance gaps and regulatory issues.
  • Prior experience working with overseas teams is desirable.
  • Experience working with U.S.-based financial institutions is an added advantage.
  • Ability to interpret regulatory requirements, assess operational impact, and recommend corrective actions where necessary.
