About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant with hands-on expertise in QuickBooks Online and prior experience managing U.S. accounting clients.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing full-cycle bookkeeping, reconciliations, financial reporting, and month-end closing. You'll collaborate closely with the U.S. finance team to maintain accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting for multiple clients.
Key Responsibilities- Manage end-to-end accounting operations for assigned U.S. clients.
- Handle AP/AR, bank reconciliations, general ledger, and month-end closing.
- Prepare and review financial statements and management reports.
- Maintain compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal accounting policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely deliverables.
- Support audits and assist in improving accounting processes and controls.
Required Qualifications & Skills- Minimum 4 years of accounting experience, including QuickBooks Online (mandatory).
- Prior experience in U.S. client accounting or outsourcing/KPO environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (mandatory).
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and month-end closing processes.
- Excellent command over Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, analytical formulas).
- Exceptional attention to detail, ownership mindset, and ability to work under deadlines.
- Based in Kolkata and open to work from office full-time.
Preferred (Good to Have)- CA, CPA, or equivalent qualification is a plus (not mandatory).
- Experience with U.S. GAAP and multi-entity bookkeeping.
- Familiarity with Xero, ADP, or other U.S. payroll/accounting tools.
