Job Responsibilities :
We are looking for an experienced Hardware NPI Project Manager to lead end-to-end development and commercialization of consumer hardware products. The role will drive cross-functional execution from concept development through mass production (MP), ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and with the required quality standards.
- Lead full product development lifecycle for Hardware NPI projects, including concept phase, EVT, DVT, PVT, and Mass Production (MP).
- Manage end-to-end project execution covering Mechanical Engineering (ME), Electrical Engineering (EE), Firmware/Software integration, Reliability and regulatory qualification, Packaging development and manufacturing readiness
- Develop and maintain overall project schedules, milestone tracking, risk assessments, and budget management.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including Product Management, Industrial Design, Engineering, AI/Software, Quality, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Manufacturing partners.
- Drive engineering build planning, issue tracking, yield improvement, validation testing, and production ramp readiness.
- Work closely with suppliers, OEM/ODM partners, and contract manufacturers to ensure deliverables, tooling, and production timelines are achieved.
- Identify project risks proactively and drive mitigation plans to minimize impact to schedule, cost, and quality.
- Ensure products meet performance, reliability, regulatory, and customer acceptance requirements before launch.
- Lead regular project reviews, status reporting, and executive updates with clear action ownership and escalation management.
- Continuously improve NPI execution processes using Agile/Scrum and structured project management methodologies.
Pre-Requisites :
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Hardware NPI Project Management, Product Development, or Engineering Program Management.
- Strong experience managing consumer electronics or hardware product development projects from concept to mass production.
- Mechanical Engineering (ME) and/or Electrical Engineering (EE) background is highly preferred.
- Familiar with hardware development processes including EVT, DVT, PVT, tooling, validation, and manufacturing ramp-up.
- Experience coordinating cross-functional engineering teams across hardware, firmware/software, quality, regulatory, and operations.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, supplier management, and product qualification activities.
- Excellent project planning, problem-solving, risk management, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to drive alignment across global teams and suppliers.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum or structured product development methodologies is an advantage.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in gaming peripherals, consumer electronics, smart devices, or related hardware products.
- Experience working with ODM/OEM manufacturers and overseas factories.
- Familiarity with regulatory and reliability requirements for global product launches.
- Ability to manage multiple fast-paced NPI projects simultaneously.
