Your impact
As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead a specific client program involving site characterization and remediation (SCR) our India business.
With the support of the Head of Sector, Growth Lead and Capability Lead and in partnership with the SCR team India, you will foster an Inclusive and Diverse culture across your team that embodies Jacobs Culture of Caring and prioritizes the health and well-being of our people. Key elements of this role include
- Program Lead and oversee the delivery of a client specific program involving Site Characterization and Remediation (SCR) in India. You will be asked to liaise on a regular basis with the client in order to ensure timely and efficient execution of the program for India
- Project- as an active Project Manager you will be liaising with the client to deliver projects within the program
- Prospects and Proposals Lead the pursuit of future prospects with this key client and prepare proposals for individual opportunities and grow this particular program in India.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in conducting Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessment (ESA)
- Involvement in Remediation works whether in India or outside India
- Project management experience handling environmental projects from end to end (assessment, to remediation and closure)
- Extensive network of clients, contractors and subcontractors including demolition, remediation contractors, and also laboratory
- Good grasp of the environmental business in India
- Good knowledge of the regulatory situation in India

Roles and Responsibilities as Country Program Lead
- Manage the client score card in terms of key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Promote and maintain a high level of HSE awareness and commitment amongst team members and subcontractors under their control.
- Ensure that decisions involving HSE issues, and the management of hazards are given equal importance to any other critical business activity.
- Ensure that adequate resources are available to meet HSE requirements on project sites.
- Assist in formulation and monitoring of the adoption of safe and environmentally sound working systems, procedures and practices which meet Shell and Jacobs standards as well as complying with local statutory requirements.
- Manage all activities are conducted in accordance with the HSE-MS & the specific HSE Plan.
- Ensure that HSE responsibilities of all activities under their control are clearly communicated, understood and practiced.
- Monitor the performance of project performance against their responsibilities and their performance with respect to their HSE targets.
- Conduct site audits for high or medium-risk activities in accordance with the schedule and site safety observation.
- Facilitate the investigation of hazards/incidents and implementation of learning and corrective actions.
- Participate in project kick-off meetings with project team to support the process of contractor information submission and review of that information to determine if the contractor is prepared to mobilize to site.
- Monitor the performance of their projects against HSE objectives and the performance with respect to project targets.
- Consult with the stakeholders on HSE issues.
- Participate actively in HSE meetings with PMs as required.
Roles and Responsibilities as a Senior Project Manager
- Ensure that projects are delivered based on the scope of work agreed with the client and delivered on time and within budget
- Engage with the client in terms of the technical merits of the project and be able to discuss site assessment results and think of possible solutions to the problem at hand in tandem with project Subject Matter Expert/s
