Job Description

Purpose

We are looking for an accomplished Senior Project Manager – Infrastructure (PMP Certified) to lead the end-to-end lifecycle of strategic infrastructure projects. The incumbent will be responsible for project planning, execution, commissioning, launch, and post-launch stabilization, ensuring projects are delivered safely, within budget, on schedule, and in accordance with organizational quality standards.

The ideal candidate should possess extensive experience in managing large-scale infrastructure projects preferebly electric bus projects , leading cross-functional teams, and driving successful project delivery from concept through operational handover.

 

Responsibilities

· Lead the complete project lifecycle from feasibility, planning, execution, commissioning, launch, and project closure.

· Develop comprehensive project execution strategies, work breakdown structures (WBS), project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.

· Establish project governance, milestones, KPIs, and reporting mechanisms to ensure timely delivery.

· Drive infrastructure development activities while ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, quality, and safety standards.

· Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Operations, Finance, Legal, EHS, and external consultants for seamless project execution.

· Manage multiple infrastructure projects simultaneously across various locations.

· Monitor project progress through dashboards, MIS reports, and project review meetings, identifying risks and implementing corrective actions.

· Lead contractor, consultant, and vendor management, ensuring contractual compliance and performance.

· Oversee site readiness, testing, commissioning, operational handover, and successful project launch.

· Ensure smooth transition from project execution to business operations with minimal operational disruption.

· Identify project risks and develop mitigation and contingency plans throughout the project lifecycle.

· Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, environmental norms, and safety requirements.

· Review engineering drawings, BOQs, technical specifications, contracts, and project documentation.

· Drive continuous improvement in project management processes using best Industry practices.

· Present project status, financial performance, and risk updates to senior leadership and stakeholders.

· Conduct periodic review meetings with contractors, consultants, and key stakeholders to monitor project progress, resolve critical issues, and ensure adherence to approved project timelines and milestones.

· Prepare and submit proposals for management approval in cases involving changes to project scope, site conditions, or technical requirements. Ensure that any cost escalation or variation is supported with proper justification and receives prior approval from the Competent Authority before implementation.

· Ensure strict compliance with all applicable safety standards, statutory regulations, and approved safe work practices by contractors and their workforce throughout the execution of the project.

· Critically scrutinize and certify contractors and vendors bills by verifying measurements, work completion, contractual compliance, supporting documentation, and applicable approvals before recommending them for payment.

· Conduct regular site inspections to ensure the quality of workmanship, compliance with approved specifications, and the use of materials conforming to prescribed quality standards and contractual requirements.

Qualifications

· Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Architect engineering or a related discipline.

· Master's Degree in Project Management, Construction Management, or Business Administration (MBA) will be an added advantage

Experience

· 12–18+ years of experience in infrastructure project management.

· Minimum 5 years in a senior leadership role managing large-scale infrastructure projects.

· Demonstrated experience in project planning, execution, commissioning, operational launch, and project delivery.

· Experience in infrastructure, transportation, EV infrastructure, EPC, industrial, logistics, or commercial projects will be preferred.

Technical Knowledge

· Expertise in Project Planning, Scheduling, Execution, Commissioning, and Launch Management.

· Strong understanding of project lifecycle management and PMO governance.

· Resource planning and capacity management.

· Budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.

· Risk assessment and mitigation planning.
