Role Overview
This role is to own the complete design stack for a disruptive investment research technology platform, including web/app interfaces, branding, and marketing collateral. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to craft intuitive, visually appealing user experiences. Drive design standards, UI patterns, and responsive solutions while leveraging research, user feedback, and modern tools like Figma and Adobe XD.
Roles And Responsibilities
Develop Users Journeys, approach backed by research and customer behavior
Build UI mockups, (low- and high-fidelity) wireframes, animations, flow diagrams, storyboards, sitemaps, and prototypes that clearly illustrate how new app features / new web interfaces works
Liaise with the Product team to understand user needs, psychology & product USPs and use it to design smooth in-app user experiences
Adhering to style standards on typography and graphic design
Have an iterative mindset- no design is perfect on the first attempt
Design mechanisms to collect user feedback and continuously improve on your designs
Conduct user interviews and online research to define and understand our user personas
Participate in and contribute in business and product discussions
Front-end development of responsive UI solutions following good coding practices, including creation/correction of CSS, and transforming mock-ups into semantic HTML and development of innovative solutions for different platforms as well as integration with DBs or other server-side logic
Be opinionated and back those opinions with strong logic
Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
Prerequisites
Knowledge of UX design best practices, including user interface ergonomics, knowledge of responsive design, data protection and security principles in Tech product environment
Working knowledge of human interaction design
Balanced mindset when it comes to functional and aesthetically pleasing designs
Experience with design and graphical tools such as Figma, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator or similar
Min 3 years of experience with Adobe XD and Illustrator, Figma
Experience in Agile development environments
Experience
7+ years of experience in product design with a strong focus on UX research and user-centered design
Education
A full-time Master's or Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, UX, or a closely related field is mandatory
Candidates from premier institutions such as NID, IIT, or CBCS will be given preference
Acceptable full-time programs include M.Des, B.Des, MSc, or equivalent
Distance / Online learning or part-time courses will not be considered
