JOB TITLE: Senior Naval Architect

LOCATION: CBD Belapur, Mumbai, Maharashtra

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 3-5 Years

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: B.E,B.Tech or M.Tech in Naval Architecture

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled SeniorNaval Architect to join our team at DEM International Private Limited on a full-time, on-site basis. In this role, you will be responsible for contributing your technical expertise to the Naval Architecture discipline, while actively participating in various ship design and engineering projects.

JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for a highly skilled Naval Architect with proven expertise in AutoCAD and a solid background in creating and interpreting Production Drawings. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of naval architecture principles and the ability to apply them effectively in the design, development, and optimization of a wide range of marine vessels and offshore structures.

TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY AND CORE COMPETENCIES

  • B.E,B.Tech or M.Tech in Naval Architecture.
  • Calculations and Structural Analysis skills.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant design software.
  • Should have understanding of production drawings, ship construction, and fabrication processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Knowledge of marine standards, regulations and industry best practices
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

KEY RESPONSIBILIY

  • Design and develop ship structures and marine vessels, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and performance standards.
  • Prepare, review, and modify detailed design plans and production drawings using CAD software, including AutoCAD.
  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teamsincluding engineers, designers, and production personnelto ensure seamless project execution.
  • Conduct technical analyses such as structural assessments, performance evaluations, and hydrodynamic studies to support design optimization.
  • Assist in project planning, budgeting, and progress monitoring to ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
  • Ensure all designs adhere to relevant regulatory standards and meet classification society requirements(IRS,ABS,LR,DNV,BV,NK)
  • Provide technical support during the construction, maintenance, and repair phases of marine vessels.
  • Contribute to concept design development and early-stage project planning.
  • Support and mentor junior team members by reviewing technical reports and assisting in the development of hydrostatics and naval architecture competencies.
