We are looking for Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - Kent Data Centres - Mumbai
Key Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical design activities for data centre and mission-critical facility projects.
- Design and review HVAC systems, cooling solutions, and mechanical infrastructure for data centres.
- Perform mechanical equipment sizing and technical evaluations.
- Prepare and review DBR, BOQ, RFP documents, technical specifications, and tender packages.
- Lead vendor evaluation, technical scoring, and bid evaluation for mechanical packages.
- Review CFD studies and provide recommendations for airflow optimization and thermal efficiency.
- Ensure designs comply with industry standards, client requirements, and data centre best practices.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
Required Skills
- Strong expertise in HVAC design for mission-critical facilities and data centres.
- In-depth knowledge of data centre mechanical systems and equipment sizing.
- Experience in vendor evaluation, technical scoring, and bid assessment.
- Proven experience in preparation of DBR, BOQ, RFP, and tender documentation.
- Strong understanding of bid evaluation processes for mechanical packages.
- Knowledge of data centre standards and industry best practices.
- Experience reviewing and interpreting CFD studies.
- Strong stakeholder management and project coordination skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
- 8-12years of experience in mechanical design and engineering with significant exposure to Data Centre projects.
- Experience working on large-scale mission-critical or hyperscale data centre projects is highly desirable.
Preferred Certifications
- ASHRAE Certification or Membership.
- LEED Accredited Professional (preferred).
- Relevant Data Centre Design Certifications will be an added advantage.
