We're Hiring: Senior Manager – YouTube (UPSC) | Unacademy

At Unacademy, we're building one of India's largest education content ecosystems, with YouTube at the heart of our learner growth strategy.

We're looking for a Senior Manager – YouTube (UPSC) to lead the YouTube strategy for our UPSC category. This role requires someone who understands the UPSC ecosystem, can scale educational content, and has a strong track record of driving audience growth and engagement through YouTube.

Please Note: Prior EdTech experience is mandatory for this role. Additionally, candidates must either have managed the UPSC/State PCS category in an EdTech organization or have personally appeared for the UPSC/State PCS examination.

What You'll Own

1. Define and execute the YouTube growth strategy for Unacademy's UPSC category.
2. Drive subscriber growth, watch time, retention, engagement, and lead generation.
3. Work closely with educators, content, design, and marketing teams to create high-performing content.
4. Leverage YouTube Analytics to identify growth opportunities and optimize channel performance.
5. Own content planning, publishing calendars, livestream strategy, and audience engagement.
6. Drive experimentation across thumbnails, titles, formats, playlists, and content distribution.
7. Monitor competitor channels and industry trends to identify new content opportunities.
8. Build scalable processes to improve channel performance and content output.

What We're Looking For

1. 4–6 years of experience in YouTube Growth, Content Strategy, Category Management, or Digital Content roles.
2. Prior experience in the EdTech industry is mandatory.
3. Candidates must have experience managing the UPSC/State PCS category in an EdTech organization or have personally appeared for the UPSC/State PCS examination.
4. Strong understanding of YouTube Analytics, audience behavior, SEO, CTR, retention, and watch-time optimization.
5. Proven track record of scaling YouTube channels and delivering measurable business outcomes.
6. Strong analytical mindset with excellent execution and stakeholder management skills.
7. Experience working with educators, content, design, and marketing teams.

Preferred Background

1. Experience working on UPSC or State PCS content within an EdTech organization.
2. Strong understanding of the UPSC/State PCS learner journey and content consumption patterns.
3. Experience managing large-scale educational YouTube channels and content ecosystems.
