Senior Manager, Strategic Communications & Visitor Experience
About the Role
My client is seeking a dynamic and strategic Senior Manager, Strategic Communications & Visitor Experience to lead communications, branding and visitor engagement initiatives for a leading public sector learning institution. This role plays a key part in strengthening the organisation's profile as a centre of excellence in leadership development through impactful communications, digital outreach and engaging visitor experiences.
The successful candidate will oversee corporate branding, marketing communications, digital engagement and visitor operations, while leading a small team to deliver high-quality programmes and services.
Key Responsibilities
Corporate Branding & Communications
- Develop and implement branding and communication strategies to strengthen the organisation's corporate identity and positioning.
- Lead the production of corporate marketing materials, publications, promotional collaterals and corporate gifts.
- Ensure consistent messaging across all communication channels in line with organisational branding guidelines.
Digital Marketing & Social Media
- Develop and execute integrated communications and marketing plans to support organisational objectives and training initiatives.
- Manage digital, print and social media campaigns to enhance awareness and engagement.
- Lead promotional campaigns to increase participation in training programmes and community initiatives.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to develop targeted communication plans for key programmes and events.
- Manage annual communications budgets and monitor campaign performance through data and analytics.
Corporate Communications & Stakeholder Engagement
- Plan and coordinate corporate communication initiatives, including programme announcements, marketing campaigns, publications and training calendars.
- Oversee the preparation of press materials, corporate presentations and publicity collaterals.
- Coordinate official visits and institutional tours, ensuring a positive stakeholder experience and professional representation.
Visitor Experience & Gallery Operations
- Lead the operations of a public-facing gallery and visitor experience centre, ensuring excellent service standards before, during and after each visit.
- Supervise visitor experience staff and oversee scheduling, deployment and daily operations.
- Manage online bookings, group visits and operational logistics with internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor visitor feedback and engagement metrics to drive continuous improvements.
- Develop innovative outreach programmes and partnerships to increase public engagement and visitor numbers.
Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor a communications and visitor experience team, fostering collaboration, innovation and service excellence.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and ensure effective execution of departmental objectives.
Requirements
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in the public sector and/or corporate/public communications environment.
- Experience in leading or supervising a team.
- Strong background in marketing, communications and digital engagement.
- Experience in visitor attraction, museum, gallery or exhibition operations will be an advantage.
