Role Purpose

Managing Statutory Compliance for the business.

Role Accountability

  1. Manage Statutory Compliance Requirements inclusive of Fresh Procurement, renewal, amendment and closure respectively of Shops and Establishment certification , Contract Labor certification and Trade License of all SBIC premises across the country
  2. Ensure reply to all the Notices and Inspections received and Notices were duly closed and acknowledged by the Labor and Regulatory authorities
  3. Conduct SVCL audits along with Statutory Training Sessions as per agreed plan
  4. Ensure submission of updated information with respect to Statutory compliances to the Senior management
  5. Coodinate with relevant business owners to check gaps/identify and resolve Compliance-related procedural issues with respect to vendor Statutory Compliance
  6. Provide support to business leadership in driving organizational understanding & adherence to business specific Statutory Requirements in consultation with Compliance Leadership
  7. Track changes to Statutory compliance requirements for the business
  8. Participate in annual Compliance risk assessment for the business and assist in driving mitigation plans arising therefrom
  9. Analyze compliance monitoring processes to identify improvement areas/enhancement opportunities for timely identification, escalation and resolution of Compliance issues

Measures of Success

  1. No significant regulator penalties/fines
  2. Timely closure of statutory licensing/certification requirements (S&E, CLRA, Trade license etc.)
  3. Timely closure of SVCL audits
  4. Timely preparation of query responses
  5. Implementation of regulatory guidelines withing specified/agreed timelines
  6. Process adherence as per MOU

Technical Skills / Experience / Certifications

  1. Ability to detect emerging compliance and industry trends and develop appropriate responses
  2. Ability to operate with due discretion, confidentiality, objectivity and independence
  3. Knowledge of regulatory environment
