Senior Manager - RIU (Regulatory Identification Unit)

In this role, Responsible for transitioning RIU/MRC activities from Onshore to the Hub (Malaysia) by engaging with stakeholders to understand current processes. Involved in manual horizon scanning, applicability assessments, and case creation in RCMS/Country OWLs systems. Supported country teams with enhanced RCMS UAT requirements and managed parallel runs to ensure a smooth go-live as per project plans. Maintained process controls, updated documentation, and identified improvement areas. Utilized knowledge of regulatory identification, risk types, and global regulatory frameworks within Financial Services. Applied agile methodologies, strong data management, analytical, and MI design skills. Demonstrated strong interpersonal and collaboration abilities to effectively manage and influence a diverse, geographically dispersed, and multicultural stakeholder base.

Responsibilities

To carry out transition of RIU/MRC activities from onshore to the Hub (Malaysia):

• Engage with stakeholders in different locations to understand the onshore RIU/MRC process

• Involved in manual version of horizon scanning, applicability assessment and creating cases into current RCMS/Country OWLs system

• Supporting country team on enhanced RCMS UAT requirements

• Carryout the parallel runs and ensure successful go-live aligned to the Project Plan

• Ensure sufficient controls around the process including DOI update and identify areas of improvement

• Knowledge of regulatory identification and their risk types

• Regulatory experience and understanding of global regulatory universe across Financial Services

• Understanding of agile ways of working

• Strong data management, analytical and MI design and operational skills

• Strong interpersonal, relationship building, and influencing abilities

• Ability to collaborate and work dynamically across a broad range of stakeholders

• Ability to manage geographically dispersed stakeholder base with multi-cultural awareness and sensitivity

• Relevant years of experience within Banking or Financial Services
