Role Overview

  • Lead the maintenance department to ensure efficient plant operations.
  • Develop maintenance strategies and manage budgets.
  • Minimize downtime and maintain equipment and facility standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement through data analysis and technology adoption.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and manage contractors.
  • Requires strong technical expertise and leadership experience in manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies, schedules, and programs.
  • Lead and mentor the maintenance team, ensuring task efficiency and skill development.
  • Manage departmental budgets and monitor expenditures.
  • Oversee maintenance and repair of plant machinery, equipment, and facilities.
  • Plan and execute maintenance-related projects (e.g., shutdowns, installations).
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Coordinate with external contractors and OEMs for specialized services.
  • Analyze maintenance data to identify improvement areas and reduce downtime.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 1215 years of experience in the heavy manufacturing industry, with managerial exposure.
  • Strong knowledge of equipment used in chemical and plastics plants.
  • Familiarity with utilities like boilers, chillers, compressors, and electrical systems.
  • Experience with PLC, SCADA, and drives is a plus.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of Integrated Management Systems (IMS) and standards like ISO 9001, ISO 14001.
