Role Overview
- Lead the maintenance department to ensure efficient plant operations.
- Develop maintenance strategies and manage budgets.
- Minimize downtime and maintain equipment and facility standards.
- Drive continuous improvement through data analysis and technology adoption.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and manage contractors.
- Requires strong technical expertise and leadership experience in manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies, schedules, and programs.
- Lead and mentor the maintenance team, ensuring task efficiency and skill development.
- Manage departmental budgets and monitor expenditures.
- Oversee maintenance and repair of plant machinery, equipment, and facilities.
- Plan and execute maintenance-related projects (e.g., shutdowns, installations).
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
- Coordinate with external contractors and OEMs for specialized services.
- Analyze maintenance data to identify improvement areas and reduce downtime.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 1215 years of experience in the heavy manufacturing industry, with managerial exposure.
- Strong knowledge of equipment used in chemical and plastics plants.
- Familiarity with utilities like boilers, chillers, compressors, and electrical systems.
- Experience with PLC, SCADA, and drives is a plus.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of Integrated Management Systems (IMS) and standards like ISO 9001, ISO 14001.
