Skills

Technical Skills

• Chartered Accountant, CPA, CFA or equivalent with 7 - 9 years experience in US GAAP / IFRS accounting experience
• B.Com with strong practical experience in Accounting and reporting for more than 11-14 years

Process Specific Skills

• Should have expert level understanding of GAAP accounting principles and procedures.
• Requires the knowledge and ability to review Journals, reconciliations provide solutions to technical accounting issues and organize projects
• Insurance accounting regulatory reporting experience or US GAAP/IFRS knowledge mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of Group Consolidation accounting and financials
• Ability to understand the significance of various activities in a statutory/GAAP accounting close cycle and deliver results accordingly.

Education Requirements

• Chartered Accountant, CPA, CFA or equivalent with 7 - 9 years experience.

Work Experience Requirements

• 7 - 9 years of experience in technical accounting or reporting area preferably with an insurance company.
• 4+ years of supervisory experience in the field of Insurance/Reinsurance accounting for SM
• 3+ years of supervisory experience in the field of Insurance/Reinsurance accounting for Manager
• Should have good understanding of GAAP accounting principles and procedures.
