JOB DESCRIPTION
Position : Senior Manager - Engineering
Qualification : Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.
Language : English, Hindi, Kannada
Salary : Budget up to ₹30 Lakhs
Experience
- Minimum 15 to 20 years of engineering and maintenance experience in manufacturing.
- At least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Experience in medical device, rubber products, latex products, healthcare products, FMCG, pharmaceutical, or condom manufacturing preferred.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Engineering Performance & Budget Management
- Prepare and manage Capex and maintenance budgets.
- Monitor engineering downtime through MTTR and MTBF metrics and drive OEE improvements.
- Manage engineering inventory and implement actions to achieve performance targets.
- Ensure achievement of Engineering KPIs and Quality KPIs.
Plant Operations Support
- Provide engineering support to plant operations while ensuring compliance with QMS and regulatory requirements.
- Support process optimization and productivity improvement initiatives.
- Plan and execute engineering projects.
Facilities & Asset Management
- Ensure availability and reliable operation of all plant facilities at optimum cost.
- Develop and implement asset management strategies.
- Ensure TBM (Time-Based Maintenance) activities are executed as per schedule.
- Ensure building, machinery, and plant layouts are prepared and executed according to business requirements.
Regulatory & Statutory Compliance
Ensure compliance with requirements of:
- Electrical Inspectorate
- Department of Explosives
- Pollution Control Board
- KIADB
- Factory Inspector
- Manage statutory reporting and obtain necessary approvals, licenses, and certifications.
- Ensure certification of material handling equipment and pressure vessels as per applicable regulations.
Equipment Installation & Validation
- Ensure all machines are erected, commissioned, qualified, and validated according to approved procedures.
Team Leadership & Workforce Management
- Maintain smooth labour relations and discipline within the department.
- Assess manpower requirements and allocate resources effectively.
- Identify training needs and develop engineering teams through Lean Six Sigma and Operational Excellence practices.
Vendor & Contractor Management
- Conduct vendor assessments and drive vendor development for engineering goods and services.
Environmental & Waste Management
- Ensure prompt disposal of engineering scrap.
- Ensure effluents are treated and disposed of in accordance with regulations and company procedures.
Digital Transformation
- Lead and support implementation of relevant D365 (Microsoft Dynamics 365) modules.
Audits & Quality Systems
- Manage and support Internal and External Audits.
- Ensure effective implementation of Quality Policy and Quality Objectives.
Maintain compliance with:
- TPM
- ISO 9001
- ISO 13485
- ISO 14001
- ISO 4074
- USFDA QSR (21 CFR Part 820)
- Other applicable international standards

- Ensure all maintenance activities follow approved safety procedures and checklists.
