Position Summary

As a Senior Manager – Banking Sales at PayGlocal, you will lead the commercial side of our bank partnership vertical. This is a high-ownership role that blends strategic relationship development with hands-on deal-making — you will build multi-level relationships inside banks, negotiate commercial structures, architect referral programs, and own a meaningful revenue target from banking partnerships.

Beyond the bank acquisition agenda, you will identify opportunities to offer PayGlocal's international payments collection stack to other Payment Aggregators in the market — building PA-to-PA collaborative arrangements that expand PayGlocal's distribution without adding merchant acquisition cost. You will also play a player-coach role, guiding and supporting Manager level colleagues as the team scales.

What will you work on

Strategic Bank Partnerships

• Own and grow a portfolio of bank partnerships across tiers — large private banks, PSU banks, SFBs — as active, revenue-contributing channels for PayGlocal.

• Lead PayGlocal's PA empanelment with target banks and integration into their PG stacks; own the end-to-end process from pitch to go-live.

• Engage at senior and CXO levels inside banks to build long-term, multi-product relationships.

Referral Program Design & Ownership

• Architect structured referral programs — design referral SLAs, incentive structures, and tracking frameworks in collaboration with bank partners.

• Build and activate consistent merchant referral pipelines via bank RM teams, branch networks, and SME banking verticals.

• Own referral revenue targets; benchmark against market benchmarks set by Razorpay, Cashfree, and PayU in this space.

Internal PA-to-PA Collaboration

• Identify and approach domestic PAs for mutually collaborative arrangements — offering PayGlocal's

international payments collection capabilities to PAs seeking a cross-border solution for their merchants.

• Structure commercial and technical partnership terms; work with Product and Engineering to deliver on integration milestones.

Revenue & Pipeline Management

• Own a quarterly and annual revenue target from banking partnerships — track pipeline, conversion, and live revenue against targets.

• Lead commercial negotiations on merchant MDR, referral fees, and partnership economics.

• Provide regular reporting and insights to leadership on performance, market dynamics, and competitive landscape.

Team & Cross-functional Leadership

• Mentor and guide Manager-level colleagues; contribute to building team playbooks, pitch decks, and partnership frameworks.

• Work closely with Product, Compliance, Legal, Tech, and Operations to unblock partnerships and fulfill bank commitments.

• Represent PayGlocal at industry forums, banking events, and partner engagements.

Qualifications & Experience

Experience

• 6–10 years of overall experience, with at least 4–5 years in banking alliances, fintech partnerships, or merchant acquiring at a PA, fintech, or bank.

• Proven track record of owning and scaling bank partnership programs — including PA empanelment, referral programs, or distribution partnerships — with demonstrated revenue impact.

• Experience managing some form of P&L responsibility or revenue ownership within a partnership or BD role.

Domain Knowledge

• Deep understanding of India's banking and PA ecosystem — PA licensing norms, bank-PA commercial structures, merchant acquiring economics, and regulatory frameworks.

• Strong familiarity with how other PAs have built their bank referral and distribution businesses — and how PayGlocal can compete and differentiate.

• Exposure to cross-border payment products and PA-to-PA collaborative structures is a meaningful plus.

Skills

• Commercial instincts — ability to structure deals, negotiate MDRs and referral fees, and design mutually beneficial partnership arrangements.

• Strong senior stakeholder management — navigating banking hierarchies and engaging decision-makers at VP/GM/CXO levels.

• Translates strategy into execution; holds partners and internal teams accountable to outcomes.

• High analytical capability; comfortable with pipeline metrics, revenue forecasting, and market sizing.

Education

• MBA or equivalent strongly preferred; Bachelor's degree required.

Target Profile

• Background at a leading PA in a banking alliances or partnerships role, or in a bank's merchant

acquiring/payments division.

• Has personally built or managed a referral/channel partnership program — not just maintained existing ones.

• Existing network across bank SME/business banking teams, bank partnerships, or the fintech BD community.

• Player-practitioner: independently owns a revenue number while elevating the team around them.

Additional Information

Compensation

• Competitive base salary at senior management level.

• Performance-linked incentives tied to partnership revenue, referral volumes, and merchant activation milestones.

Note: Responsibilities, qualifications, and team structure may be modified based on business requirements and organizational growth.
