About the Role:

Key Roles / Responsibilities

This position requires a background in Software Engineering, Modern Software Architecture, and Strong Leadership, and should be able to Communicate Effectively across varying workstreams. He/she will support the Digital Workplace Transformation team in the development of custom applications, and services and should have a vision towards continuous architectural and process improvement. The candidate will be responsible for software development, creating and suggesting software architecture design, and writing code to improve software testability.

The candidate will assist with all major project initiatives, enhancements, analysis, and day-to-day support. This role will require a flexible, agile approach to meet our changing business needs. The technologies and skills employed will vary but, at a minimum, will need a solid understanding of Microservices Architecture, Container Orchestration & Management, REST APIs, OpenAPI Specification, API-first Development, AWS Cloud, DevOps, C#, SQL, Load Testing and Observability.

The successful candidate will work in a team whose responsibilities include identifying, evaluating, and piloting new technologies, as well as driving technologies that increase end-user productivity across S&P globally. Areas of focus include, but are not limited to, Developing applications, systems-integrations, automation. The candidate will be instrumental in providing innovative technical solutions to modernize the end-user experience across the entire enterprise.

The position requires

.Be part of agile team. Collaborate with the team and stakeholders to analyze system requirements.

.Strong background in software engineering, microservices architecture and API design

.Strong background in DevOps and ability to integrate automated testing within new or existing CI/CD pipelines.

.Be a change champion, have ability to drive initiatives, take ownership and see it to realization.

Qualifications

.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Engineering is required, or in lieu, a demonstrated equivalence in work experience.

Strong Programming and current hands-on development skills with C# and ASP.NET Core Web API

.Advanced understanding of REST Architectural style, OpenAPI Specification and API-first Development. Ability to develop REST API Design following best practices.

.Experience working with Application Logging, Tracing, Monitoring and Observability tools such as Datadog, Splunk etc.

.Experience with Docker, Application Containerization and Container Orchestration Platform (Kubernetes)

.Solid understanding of Authorization and Authentication protocols for Securing modern Applications and APIs like OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC).

.Solid understanding of Microservices Architecture and Design Patterns

.Be resourceful and can-do attitude.
