Senior Java Developer

CRISIL is looking for a highly motivated Senior Java developer for global investment banking clients to work on the technology transformation agenda for their Front Office (FO) Risk Systems. You would be a part of the Technology Risk teams, partnering with business and guiding the development of innovative technology solutions. You would be responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities.

As a Java developer, you will be responsible for:

• Must Have's:
  • • Core Java, with Java 1.8 as the minimum requirement; current work is on Java 17/21.
    • Proficiency in OOP, Collections, and Exception Handling.
    • Extensive knowledge of multithreading.
    • Experience in inter-service communication for various applications.
    • Z-MQ is used for TCP-related communication, while HTTP channels are open for communication in Python.
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
    • Experience in caching managing process memory and temp directory refills to ensure the latest copy is always accessible.
    • Experience working in distributed messaging environments.
• Good to Have:
  • • Knowledge of Python would be a plus.
    • Ideally, experience with Quartz (though this can be learned if not already known).
    • Familiarity with the React JS tech stack.
    • Experience with CI/CD processes.
    • Low latency expertise.

• No requirements for Spring or Hibernate.
