As a Senior Designer & Interior Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in both the creative and business aspects of the interior design industry. This hybrid position requires a balance of design expertise, sales acumen, leadership skills, and a passion for creating exceptional interior spaces. You will be responsible for leading design projects, managing a sales team, and collaborating with clients to deliver outstanding design solutions that meet their needs and preferences.

Responsibilities:

  1. Design Leadership:
  • Lead and oversee the design process from concept to execution, ensuring the delivery of innovative and functional interior design solutions.
  • Develop design concepts, mood boards, and presentations to effectively communicate ideas to clients.
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to integrate design elements seamlessly into construction projects.
  • Stay updated on design trends, materials, and technologies to incorporate fresh and relevant ideas into projects.
  1. Sales Management:
  • Manage and lead a team of interior sales professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets and revenue goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and preferences to tailor design solutions that align with their vision.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional materials, participate in trade shows, and execute marketing initiatives.
  1. Client Engagement:
  • Conduct client consultations to understand their requirements, preferences, and budget constraints.
  • Translate client needs into compelling design proposals that balance aesthetics, functionality, and budget considerations.
  • Present design concepts and proposals to clients, addressing their questions and concerns while conveying the value of your design recommendations.
  1. Project Management:
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and quality is maintained.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and contractors to source materials, furniture, and accessories required for each project.
  • Monitor project progress, address any issues that arise, and implement solutions to keep projects on track.
  1. Budget and Cost Management:
  • Create and manage project budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring adherence to financial constraints.
  • Provide cost estimates to clients and recommend cost-effective alternatives without compromising design quality.
  1. Team Collaboration:
  • Foster a collaborative and creative environment within the design and sales team.
  • Coordinate with other departments such as procurement, logistics, and customer service to ensure smooth project execution.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience in interior design, with a portfolio showcasing a range of design styles and project types.
  • Previous experience in sales, sales management, or business development within the interior design industry.
  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey design concepts effectively to clients and team members.
  • Leadership skills and the ability to motivate and guide a sales and design team.
  • Excellent project management abilities, including time management and multitasking skills.
  • Knowledge of construction processes, materials, and industry trends.
