Senior Infrastructure Engineer - Platform Engineering Team

We are currently searching for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer with established mastery within the GCP ecosystem. 

The ideal candidate will possess the ability to translate high-level business and application needs into actionable architecture on Google Cloud Platform. We seek a robust engineer with a demonstrated history in cloud-native environments, delivering scalable and resilient infrastructure in close partnership with our software engineers and architects.

You are a passionate innovator regarding infrastructure-as-code, environment alignment, and service provisioning. As an experienced professional, you maintain a deep understanding of application-level infrastructure requirements and can seamlessly collaborate with architects to solve complex problems. You also prioritize security best practices across both the application and infrastructure layers.

Our mission is to deliver a world-class Payment Orchestration Platform within GCP, maintaining SLAs above 99.95%. Horizontal scalability and secure, reliable operations are at the heart of everything we build.

At the application level, we leverage Go and Java on Kubernetes, with a strong focus on utilizing managed native services to drive efficiency.

How You Will Make an Impact:

• Drive strategic initiatives and provide expert guidance within the GCP ecosystem, emphasizing the utilization of managed services

• Architect and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to empower application engineers in the development, testing, and seamless deployment of services

• Collaborate closely with security architects to integrate and uphold security best practices across all layers

• Partner with software engineers and architects to deliver scalable and resilient infrastructure capable of horizontal expansion

• Stay at the forefront of innovation by implementing the latest technologies and cloud-native standards

• Champion a cloud-first philosophy centered on infrastructure-as-code and managed services

• Serve as a subject matter expert for our infrastructure, providing critical insights to internal teams

• Work alongside the Platform Engineering team to build enterprise-grade infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform

• Uphold the stability, security, and operational efficiency of our global systems

• Proactively assist in maintaining and optimizing current production environments

• Promote a culture of knowledge sharing and mentorship

• Actively participate in cultivating a high-performance DevOps culture across all engineering functions

Skills You Will Have Fine-Tuned:

• B.S. or higher in Computer Science or related field or applicable experience

• Experience in CI/CD systems and methodologies

• Experience working with a 24/7/365 high-traffic cloud environment

• Demonstrated operational mastery of Kubernetes within complex environments

• 5+ years of Linux systems administration experience within large-scale, high-traffic PaaS/SaaS cloud ecosystems

• Proven track record in cloud-native environments such as GCP, AWS, or Azure

• Deep commitment to infrastructure-as-code, leveraging Terraform and advanced Kubernetes manifest generation

• Established expertise in log management, diagnostics, and metrics to ensure global system stability

• Strong scripting abilities in Bash and at least one additional programming language

• Serve as a subject matter expert within the GCP ecosystem, emphasizing managed native services

• Hands-on experience maintaining security in environments with sensitive data, such as PCI-DSS certified systems

• Architect and maintain pipelines using GitHub Actions and ArgoCD for seamless deployment

• Familiarity with Helm charting and CI strategies for Java-based services is a significant advantage

It would be great but not mandatory if you have:

• Practical expertise in maintaining PCI-DSS compliance, including certifications, audit processes, and standards
