Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS) Developer with 7 to 10 years of experience in designing, developing, and supporting enterprise data integration solutions. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in IICS, file ingestion frameworks, encryption/decryption mechanisms, SQL development, and data integration best practices. Experience with UNIX/Linux environments and secure file transfer technologies is highly desirable.
The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, data architects, and development teams to build scalable, secure, and high-performing ETL/ELT solutions.
Key Responsibilities
IICS Development & Integration
- Design, develop, test, and deploy data integration solutions using Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS).
- Build and maintain mappings, mapping tasks, taskflows, synchronization tasks, and parameterized workflows.
- Develop reusable integration components and frameworks.
- Troubleshoot and optimize existing IICS jobs for performance and reliability.
- Implement error handling, logging, auditing, and monitoring mechanisms.
File Ingestion & Data Processing
- Design and implement file ingestion frameworks supporting structured and semi-structured data.
- Develop solutions for processing:
- CSV
- Fixed-width files
- XML
- JSON
- Parquet
- Delimited files
- Handle large-volume file processing with appropriate performance optimization techniques.
- Implement metadata-driven and parameterized ingestion patterns.
Security & Encryption
- Work with secure file transfer and data protection mechanisms.
- Implement file encryption and decryption using technologies such as:
- PGP/GPG
- SFTP
- SSH Keys
- Public/Private Key Encryption
- Ensure secure transmission, storage, and handling of sensitive business data.
- Collaborate with security teams to enforce enterprise security standards and compliance requirements.
Database & SQL Development
- Develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and data validation processes.
- Perform data analysis and troubleshooting using SQL.
- Optimize database performance through query tuning and indexing strategies.
- Work with relational databases such as:
- Oracle
- SQL Server
- Snowflake
- PostgreSQL
- DB2 (preferred)
Support & Maintenance
- Provide production support and incident resolution.
- Conduct root cause analysis for failed loads and data quality issues.
- Participate in code reviews and enforce development best practices.
- Create technical design documents and operational runbooks.
Required Skills
Mandatory Skills
- 7 to 10 years of overall Data Integration/ETL experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS).
- Extensive experience in designing and implementing file ingestion solutions.
- Strong understanding of file encryption and decryption processes (PGP/GPG).
- Strong SQL development and performance tuning skills.
- Experience working with multiple relational databases.
- Strong understanding of ETL architecture and data integration patterns.
- Experience with scheduling, monitoring, and troubleshooting ETL jobs.
- Knowledge of source control and release management processes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good to Have
- UNIX/Linux command-line expertise.
- Shell scripting (Bash/Korn Shell).
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, or Data Lake environments.
- Knowledge of Control-M, Autosys, or enterprise schedulers.
- Exposure to API-based integrations and REST/SOAP services.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Informatica IICS Certification is a plus.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience coordinating with offshore/onshore teams.
