HR Functions in the Hospitality Industry

1. Recruitment & Staffing

  • Workforce planning (front office, F&B, housekeeping, kitchen, etc.)
  • Talent sourcing, interviewing, onboarding
  • Managing seasonal or casual workforce

2. Training & Development

  • Induction and orientation
  • Soft skills and grooming training
  • Product knowledge and service standards
  • Leadership and supervisory training

3. Performance Management

  • Implementing appraisal systems
  • Monitoring departmental KPIs (e.g. guest satisfaction, service efficiency)
  • Identifying top performers for rewards or promotions

4. Compensation & Benefits

  • Payroll and attendance management
