Job Description

Remote-first · Full-time · Bengaluru-based team. Sits within the Founder's Office, working closely with Marketing, Sales, Product, and CX.

What Swym is and why this role exists

Every day, millions of shoppers save products they want but are not ready to buy. Most brands never know it happened. Swym fixes that. We capture what shoppers want at the earliest and most specific point in their journey, and we make that signal usable across every channel a brand has, until the purchase completes. 48,000+ brands use Swym today.

Swym has the product, the customer base, and the market tailwind. What doesn't exist yet is the growth system: the flywheel of campaigns, tracking, experiments, and programs that compounds over time and makes growth predictable rather than episodic. Right now that flywheel is a collection of good intentions and half-built parts. This role exists to build it, and keep it turning. Roughly, that breaks down as 30% campaign execution end-to-end (socials, email, content, paid, lifecycle), 20% tracking and attribution infrastructure, and 50% cross-functional coordination and external partner management, the connective work that actually makes the other two compound instead of resetting every quarter.

How we actually work

We are a lean team that runs on AI, GitHub, Slack, and Google Workspace. No wiki. If it matters, it is in the repo or it does not exist.

When a campaign brief needs a first draft, AI writes it. When a channel needs a first-pass message, AI drafts it. When we need to know which channel actually moved a number, AI pulls the query. Humans decide which channel earns the spend, what ships to a merchant's inbox or a candidate's feed, and what the retro actually says happened. That model runs across every function, growth included.

We're building toward a growth motion where segmentation, campaign drafting, reporting, and channel attribution are AI-assisted end to end, with a human deciding stage by stage what's safe to hand off. We're partway there. This hire pushes that further.

What you will own

In your first 90 days — establish real credibility fast, without formal authority

You're coordinating the work of senior people across geographies who don't report to you. That only works if you earn credibility quickly, not through title, through judgment. Get the growth calendar live, and get your own AI-assisted workflow running: research, drafting, and reporting already happening with AI as your default, not an experiment. Ship your first two campaigns end to end, brief through retro, working through whichever regional partners or stakeholders those campaigns actually touch.

Learn where Swym's tracking is genuinely trustworthy right now and where it isn't. Most of it lives in individual heads, half-built spreadsheets, and across HubSpot, Intercom/Fin, ProfitWell, and Metabase, not in one place. Know that gap well enough to say plainly what you'd trust today and what you wouldn't yet.

The milestone is simple: has a senior stakeholder in another geography who doesn't report to you already taken your recommendation on something real, and have you shipped something real, not planned something real.

At six months — the coordination is holding, and you know when to push and when to defer

The bar shifts from personal execution to a growth system other people, across regions, actually rely on. Tracking and attribution infrastructure is clean enough that the team trusts the numbers without checking your work. Campaign cadence runs predictably across geographies, not as a burst of activity in one region followed by a gap elsewhere.

You've had at least one real disagreement with a senior stakeholder who doesn't report to you, over a channel, a partner call, or a resourcing decision, and you can point to a specific moment you held your ground and a specific moment you deferred, and explain why each was the right call. That judgment, knowing which fights are worth having without the authority to just settle them, is the actual skill this role tests for at six months.

At least one AI workflow you built, for research, drafting, or reporting, is something someone else on the team now uses without being asked to.

At twelve months — own it, the system runs and it's yours to defend

You can name three or more AI workflows you've built or refined that materially changed your own throughput, and at least one that changed someone else's, in another region. Growth programs run with increasing independence across geographies, and you're feeding strategic input into the growth agenda, not just executing what's already decided.

The question at twelve months is not how much campaign activity happened. It is whether the growth calendar would still run on cadence across every region, and whether senior stakeholders who don't report to you would still take your call, if you hadn't been here.

Who you are

You are comfortable with ambiguity. Vague briefs, shifting priorities, and undefined success metrics are the norm here, not the exception, and you don't wait for perfect clarity before you start moving.

You have a bias for action over analysis paralysis. You'd rather ship and learn than wait for sign-off on every detail.

You can coordinate the work of senior people across geographies who don't report to you, and you know the difference between a fight worth having and one worth letting go. That judgment, when to hold and when to fold, matters more here than in most roles at this level, because you won't have formal authority to fall back on when a call needs to be made. This is assessed directly during the process, not assumed from a resume line about cross-functional coordination.

You are already using AI to multiply your output, for research, copy generation, audience segmentation, and reporting. Not experimenting with it, using it as a default. The distinction that actually matters: did you use AI to decide which channel to trust, or only to write the copy faster. Both matter. Only the first is non-negotiable, and it's assessed early in the process, not assumed on your word.

You write clearly. You'll be writing briefs, campaign copy, and stakeholder updates regularly, and clarity is the job on the page as much as anywhere else.

You stay organized without anyone chasing you. You juggle multiple projects without dropping threads, and you flag blockers before anyone has to ask.

You understand and operate comfortably in the Shopify and SaaS-eCommerce ecosystem, and you coordinate naturally with the agency and tech partners in that world, Klaviyo and similar, briefing them clearly and holding what comes back to standard.

Four to six years of experience, as a guideline rather than a cutoff. Not a people-management background, but real experience getting senior people who don't report to you to move on something, across time zones, without a shared office to resolve friction face to face.

What doesn't fit: needing a fully scoped brief before you can start, measuring your own output by activity rather than outcomes, not having meaningfully adopted AI in how you work, or needing formal authority to get others to act on your recommendation.

What is in it for you

Most growth roles at this level get a channel and a calendar someone else already built, with a team reporting to them to lean on when coordination gets hard. Here, you're building the flywheel itself, and you're doing it without direct reports, across geographies, on judgment and credibility alone.

The scope is wide. The trust is high. The learning curve is steep in the best possible way.

If your idea of a good year is: I got senior people across three time zones to move on my call without ever having authority over them, I got dramatically better at building with AI, and I can point to the numbers that moved because of a channel call I made, you will be happy here.

The honest part

We are strong where it counts: capturing shopper intent with precision, anonymously and without requiring login. Deep integration across the merchant marketing and sales stack. Privacy-compliant capture even in the most restricted environments.

We are openly working on the harder problems: making our value immediately obvious to merchants without making them hunt for it. Building experiences that become operationally indispensable. Going deeper on verticalized solutions for specific merchant categories. And on the growth side specifically: there is no single source of truth for attribution today, most tracking lives in individual heads, half-built spreadsheets, and across multiple co-existing systems, HubSpot, Intercom/Fin, ProfitWell, Metabase. This hire is part of how we fix that.

If those open problems sound like the interesting part rather than a warning, that is a good sign.
