Job Description

Technical Skills

1. PeopleSoft Knowledge: Proficiency in PeopleSoft Financial System O2C, P2P, and R2R.

2. Database: Understanding of SQL, database management, and how to query and pull reports.

4. System Integration: Familiarity with integrating ERP systems with other software applications and services.

5. Data Analysis and Reporting: Proficiency in using tools for data extraction, transformation, and reporting, such as Business Intelligence (BI) tools.

6. Technical Troubleshooting: Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues within the ERP system.

Functional Skills

1. Financial Accounting: Strong understanding of financial accounting principles, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting.

2. Business Process Understanding: Knowledge of business processes and how they are implemented within PS system.

3. Regulatory Compliance: Understanding of regulatory requirements and how they impact financial systems and reporting.

4. Project Management: Skills in managing PS projects, including upgrades, implementations, testing, and migrations.

Soft Skills

1. Problem-solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address and resolve issues effectively.

2. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with stakeholders, including finance professionals and technical teams.

3. Training and Support: Ability to train end-users and provide ongoing support to ensure effective use of the PS system.

4. Attention to Detail: High attention to detail for ensuring data accuracy and system integrity.

5. Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing business requirements and technological advancements.

Other Relevant Skills

1. Security Awareness: Understanding of data security principles and practices to protect financial data.

  • Degree in Accounting or relevant professional accountancy qualification.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think analytically.
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
  • Preferably more than 5-7 years of working experience in O2C or other finance workstream
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Team player and yet able to work independently
  • Experience of working on Oracle PeopleSoft ERP is a plus.
