How will you make an impact in this role
The Senior Financial Analyst in the Corporate Segment CEG Controllership team will play a critical role in supporting accounting, reporting, and governance related to retirement plans, shareholders equity activities, and earnings per share (EPS).Based in Gurgaon and reporting to the Manager - Controllership, this role offers a unique opportunity to build and enhance accounting processes in a developing area. The successful candidate will need to be a self-starter, comfortable with independent discovery, learning, and problem-solving, while collaborating across teams and geographies.
Key Responsibilities:
Support accounting and reporting activities for retirement plans, shareholders equity, and EPS in alignment with U.S. GAAP and company policies
Prepare key management reports and analytics to support decision-making and governance
Analyze existing business processes, identify opportunities for automation, enhanced controls, and efficiency improvements
Translate and present complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for senior leaders
Partner with business unit finance teams to strengthen reporting quality and consistency
Perform ad hoc analysis at to understand key financial trends and drivers
Support the preparation of externally disclosed financial statement footnotes and related regulatory filings
Maintain a strong focus on data integrity and accuracy in end-to-end accounting processes
Develop a deep understanding of accounting systems (Oracle, BIEE, Essbase) and leverage data to inform recommendations
Collaborate across controllership, CEG and finance teams to support continuous improvement initiatives
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline
4+ years of progressive experience in financial or business analysis, preferably within a multinational environment
Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting compliance
Proven proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, formulas, charts), PowerPoint, experience with Oracle, BIEE, and Essbase preferred
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills able to translate large datasets into meaningful business insights
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across levels and functions
Results-oriented, with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with automation tools or data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
Familiarity with Hyperion Financial Reporting (HFR) and Oracle financial systems
Digital mindset and passion for driving process innovation
Demonstrated ability to lead or influence change within a matrix organization
