Senior Financial Accountant

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Finance Manager role based in Gurugram. The Finance Manager will oversee day-to-day financial operations, including bookkeeping review, general ledger oversight, and timely preparation of financial statements and management reports. The role includes managing budgeting and forecasting processes, monitoring cash flow, and providing financial analysis to support strategic business decisions. The Finance Manager will coordinate with tax and audit teams on compliance, assist with due diligence and valuations, and support engagements related to project finance, business setup, and Virtual CFO services. Responsibilities also include implementing and improving financial controls, supervising junior team members, and collaborating with clients to address their financial queries and reporting needs.

Qualifications

• Strong financial accounting and reporting skills, including experience with general ledger management, financial statements, and month-end/year-end closure.
• Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and cash flow management to support strategic planning and decision-making.
• Knowledge of taxation and regulatory compliance, such as GST, direct tax, Companies Act requirements, and familiarity with due diligence and valuations.
• Comfort with financial advisory domains, including project finance, mergers and acquisitions support, startup advisory, and Virtual CFO-style engagements.
• Ability to work with accounting and ERP software, strong Excel skills, and a data-driven approach to analysis and reporting.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to both financial and non-financial audiences.
• Proven ability to lead or mentor team members, manage multiple assignments, and work under deadlines with high attention to detail.
• Professional qualification such as CA-Drop out, MBA in Finance, or an equivalent finance-related degree; relevant experience in a consulting, audit, or professional services firm is preferred.
• Able to understand MIS, Month closing, Projections and budgeting
