Senior Finance Executive
Experience: 5–6 Years
Location: Chennai (Regular travel to Cuddalore is required.)
Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and commercially driven Senior Executive – Finance & Commercial Operations to manage end-to-end financial operations for a contract-based business. The role involves financial accounting, client billing, payroll cost management, statutory compliance, receivables, commercial reporting, and business finance support. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, sound accounting knowledge, and experience in managing finance operations for service-oriented or contract-based businesses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly financial statements, MIS reports, accruals, and profitability analysis.
- Manage client billing, revenue recognition, invoice validation, and margin calculations.
- Coordinate payroll inputs and monitor manpower costs against project revenues.
- Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, PF, ESI, Professional Tax, and other statutory requirements.
- Monitor receivables, vendor payments, cash flow, and account reconciliations.
- Review commercial terms of contracts and support pricing, quotations, and tenders.
- Support internal/external audits and strengthen financial controls and processes.
Desired Candidate Profile:
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (B.Com), Finance, or Accounting.
- CA Inter, CMA Inter, MBA (Finance), or equivalent qualification will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 5–6 years of relevant experience in Finance & Accounts.
- Experience in contract-based, staffing, manpower, facility management, logistics, or service industries will be preferred.
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of Financial Accounting and MIS Reporting.
- Knowledge of Revenue Recognition and Contract Accounting.
- Hands-on experience in GST, TDS, PF, ESI, Professional Tax, and statutory compliance.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or equivalent accounting software.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, financial reporting, and data analysis.
Travel Requirement: The role is based in Chennai and requires regular travel to Cuddalore to support business and operational finance activities.
