Key Skills Required :-
- Strong practical knowledge of GST compliance, including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B and GSTR-2B reconciliation.
- Hands-on experience in input tax credit, sales, purchase and vendor-wise GST reconciliations.
- Working knowledge of ClearTax or similar GST and taxation software will be preferred.
- Good knowledge of TDS applicability, challan payment and filing of quarterly TDS returns.
- Sound accounting knowledge, including ledger scrutiny, provisions, accruals and reconciliations.
- Proficiency in Tally Prime or other accounting / ERP software, Epicor experience is highly preferred
- Good Excel knowledge and data analysis.
- Attention to detail, analytical ability, problem-solving and effective communication skills
Key Responsibilities :
- Prepare and file GST returns, including GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B, within statutory due dates.
- Reconcile GSTR-2B with the purchase register and follow up for missing, mismatched or ineligible input tax credit.
- Verify GST invoices, GSTIN, place of supply, HSN / SAC, tax rates and reverse charge applicability.
- Prepare GST workings, electronic ledger reconciliations and data for annual returns, audits and notices.
- Check TDS applicability, ensure correct deduction, deposit TDS and prepare / file Forms 24Q, 26Q and 27Q, as applicable.
- Reconcile TDS payable and receivable with books, challans, filed returns, Form 26AS and AIS.
- Carry out day-to-day accounting of purchases, sales, receipts, payments, expenses and journal entries.
- Perform inter-company, branch and statutory ledger reconciliations.
- Support month-end and year-end closing, ledger scrutiny, provisions, prepaid expenses and audit schedules.
- Prepare Excel-based MIS reports, reconciliation statements, ageing reports and compliance trackers.
- Coordinate with auditors, consultants and internal departments to resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain complete supporting documents, accurate financial records and a proper audit trail.
- Prepare a comprehensive ITC register, including payment linkages, ageing analysis and related details by consolidating data from multiple information sources.
- Support the implementation of and migration to new ERP systems, including data validation, reconciliation, testing and user coordination.
