Senior Engineering Manager / Product

Role Overview

DeHaat is looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to own the outcomes of our Lending, B2B, and B2C products, not just to ship features or manage people, but to move the metrics that matter: credit disbursed, farmers served, uptime held, and revenue unlocked. Sitting at the intersection of engineering and product on one of India's largest rural fintech and agritech platforms, you'll lead a team of engineers, own the technical architecture, set the roadmap and write the specs, and stay close to business stakeholders, accountable end-to-end for what the platform delivers, not just what it builds.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers building lending and B2B/B2C products end-to-end

• Own technical architecture decisions and backend system design for your area

• Bridge engineering and product: define roadmap, write specs, and prioritize the backlog

• Drive execution from design through deployment, ensuring systems are scalable, reliable, and secure

• Mentor engineers, run code reviews, and uphold engineering best practices across the team with owning product quality

• Partner with business and product stakeholders to align technical execution with business goals

Requirements & Qualifications

• 4-7 years of overall experience, with meaningful time spent in an Engineering Manager or Tech Lead capacity

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

• Experience in lending or B2B/B2C marketplace platforms

• Strong backend engineering background with hands-on system architecture experience

• Prior exposure working alongside product leaders

• Excellent leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder management skills

Good to Have

• Experience scaling engineering teams in a high-growth startup

• Direct experience in agritech or rural fintech/lending products
