Position Details
Role: Senior Electrical Engineer (1 vacancy)
Location: Bangalore
Experience Required: 57 years (MSA Rate Card indicates typical range of 4.57.5 years for Electrical System Engineering roles)
Education: B.E. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering
Notice Period: Immediate Joinee or 15 Days
Key Responsibilities
Drive New Product Development (NPD)design and develop electrical components for HVAC and transport refrigeration systems (e.g., converters, inverters, battery chargers).
Conduct electrical-specific analysesDFMEA, test plan creation, execution, warranty and root-cause analysis (including fishbone techniques).
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation including specification drawings and application specification documents.
Manage and coordinate external regulatory testinglike HALT (Highly Accelerated Life Testing) and EMC (ElectroMagnetic Compatibility).
Perform electrical and power electronic modeling and simulation using tools such as MATLAB and Dymola.
Lead development and qualification of componentsincluding temperature sensors, actuators, motors, drives, batteries, contactors, analog/protection circuits, control hardware, and embedded microprocessor systems.
Develop and execute test plans; interpret test data; recommend corrective actions to improve product quality and reliability.
Apply systematic problem-solving approaches (e.g., 6 Sigma, Quality Engineering) to resolve product failures and implement corrective design changes.
Utilize PLM processes (preferably with Windchill), and experience with Altium for hardware design is a plus.
Essential Skills
Expertise in electrical and power electronics component design and development.
Strong hands-on experience with qualification programs in automotive or machinery environments.
Comfortable with embedded systems and control systemsin design, testing, and debugging.
Advanced modeling and simulation skills.
Familiarity with embedded microprocessor control systems.
Strong technical documentation and test planning abilities.
Desirable Skills
Experience in Quality Engineering, DFMEA, NPD, and 6 Sigma methodologies.
Hands-on familiarity with Windchill PLM and Altium hardware design tools.
Soft Skills
Excellent English communication (written and verbal).
Strong team collaboration, problem-solving, and creative thinking skills.
