Job Description:

We are looking for a highly motivated Senior DevOps Engineer to manage and enhance the cloud infrastructure that powers SmartWinnr's AI-driven SaaS platform. This role offers the opportunity to work on modern cloud technologies, production infrastructure, automation, and platform reliability while collaborating closely with Engineering, AI, and Product teams.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing production environments, strong cloud expertise, and a passion for building secure, scalable, and reliable infrastructure.

Responsibilities: 

• Independently own and manage SmartWinnr's DevOps and cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure environments. 
• Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure using AWS services including EC2, ECS, ECR, S3, IAM, Route 53, VPC, Security Groups, Auto Scaling Groups, and Load Balancers. 
• Perform production database upgrades and migrations while ensuring high availability, minimal downtime, and data integrity. 
• Deploy, manage, and support containerized applications and container orchestration environments. 
• Implement and maintain monitoring and observability solutions using Grafana, Prometheus, or equivalent platforms. 
• Support and maintain Node.js backend production environments.  
• Administer Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory), including Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Conditional Access, and Enterprise Application Management. 
• Develop automation scripts and operational tooling using Bash, YAML, and related scripting technologies.
• Manage and maintain distributed systems such as ClickHouse, Zookeeper, or similar analytics platforms. 
• Self-host, administer, and maintain internal engineering tools such as documentation platforms, password managers, collaboration tools, and AI-powered internal applications. 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve deployment processes, infrastructure reliability, security, and operational efficiency. 
• Maintain infrastructure documentation, operational standards, and disaster recovery processes while continuously identifying opportunities for automation and improvement.

Requirements:

Education

• Bachelor's degree (B.Tech/B.E.) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.

Professional Experience

• 5-8 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Infrastructure Engineering. 
• Proven experience independently managing DevOps and cloud infrastructure in a production environment. 
• Experience working with SaaS or product-based organizations is preferred. 
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, production support, and infrastructure automation. 

Skills & Tools

• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS and Microsoft Azure. 
• Good understanding of cloud networking, infrastructure automation.
• Knowledge of Git-based version control and modern software development workflows. 
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve production issues efficiently.
