Senior Design Engineer – Facade & Sheet Metal

Mantras2success Consultants is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Design Engineer Facade & Sheet Metal. This pivotal role requires conducting technical studies and delivering comprehensive designs for clients and our metal facade manufacturing workshop. You will play a crucial role in managing a small team, ensuring compliance with procedures, and maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency, all while reporting to a team based in France.

Main Activities

• Technical Studies: Conduct detailed technical studies, including the layout and sizing of facade sheets.
• Plan Production: Produce all necessary facade sheet plans once the layout study receives client approval.
• Deliverable Provision: Provide all required deliverables for clients and for manufacturing, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Engineering Tasks: Perform various engineering tasks on products other than facades as required.
• Team Management: Manage a team of 2 to 3 people, including task distribution, quality monitoring, and deadline tracking.
• Reporting: Provide regular reports to the team in France, ensuring clear communication and alignment.

Responsibility and Authority

• Work strictly in accordance with established procedures, escalating difficulties to the supervisor as needed.
• Adhere to the company's code of ethics in all professional conduct.
• Ensure the functionality and optimal performance of all design tools and software.
• Deliver all expected deliverables meeting specified quality standards and deadlines.
• Effectively manage and guide the assigned design team.

Skills and Knowledge

• Language Proficiency: Fluent in French language, both oral and written, to effectively communicate with the reporting team in France and other stakeholders.
• Education & Experience: Mechanical engineering degree with significant initial experience in a relevant design role.
• Mentorship & Communication: Ability to be a teacher (mentor) and argue effectively, articulating technical decisions clearly.
• Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of sheet metal processing techniques.
• CAD Proficiency: Proficiency in CAD software, preferably INVENTOR (AUTOCAD 3D).
• Structural Knowledge: General knowledge of structural calculations.
• Software Skills: General knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
