We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Database Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 4-7 years of experience in database administration, design, and implementation, with a strong understanding of database management systems. The Senior Database Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our company's databases, ensuring they are efficient, secure, and reliable. This role requires an analytical mindset, exceptional problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain highly available and scalable databases
- Perform database tuning, optimization, and performance monitoring
- Ensure data integrity, security, and availability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop database solutions that meet business requirements
- Create and maintain database documentation, including data models, diagrams, and policies
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior database administrators
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 4-7 years of experience in database administration, design, and implementation
- Expertise in database management systems such as Oracle, MySQL, and SQL Server
- Strong knowledge of database architecture, design, and implementation
- Experience with database backup and recovery procedures
- Familiarity with database security and compliance standards
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with cloud-based database solutions is a plus
