Job description:

The Senior DBA is a key member of DCOps and will be responsible in the area of DB & design, sizing, support and maintenance. Candidate must have an in-depth understanding of the technology, trend and technical components of databases (Oracle, MSql, MySQL, Postgress & Redshift, AWS RDS, Aurora MySQL, Aurora Postgres) and be able to provide advice to the application teams.

The Candidate must collaborate closely with a large contingent of others throughout the Organization and external vendors. The collaboration is both prior to any deployment of equipment, software, applications, IT policies or processes and in post-deployment, development of improvements plan or procedures.

What will you be doing

Administration of PostgreSQL databases

Should have good knowledge about MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server.

Intimate Knowledge of the Oracle RDBMS database administration and Golden Gate Replication best practices

In-Depth Knowledge and experience of RAC,RMAN,DataPump,Oracle Data Guard/Golden Gate replication and physical standby for Disaster recovery.

Experiences to address database alerts/issues capacity constraints and performance related items.

Fully analyze performance issues in most critical and performance sensitive Oracle databases.

Identify tuning opportunities; implement improvements and advice developers on SQL tuning options.

Superior analytical and problem-solving skills

Understanding of basic Infrastructure implementation required to ensure optimal DB performance.

Experience in OS - redhat Linux, Sun Solaris, IBM AIX,Windows

What you will bring along

Minimum 7-10 years of related experience, preferably at a financial institution. 5+ years of corporate IT Infrastructure support management experience in a large-scale production environment with support teams for diversified business applications

Strong experience with design, installation configuration, testing, migration and implementation as well as Administration experience of MS SQL, Postgres, Oracle, MSSQL database, Microsoft SQL Server.

Strong experience in configuring, provisioning, and performance tuning AWS RDS, Aurora MySQL, and Aurora PostgreSQL.

Develop data migration plans to migrate legacy on-premises databases to new environments (Knowledge of cloud data stores would be a plus)

Excellent understanding of Oracle SQL / PL/SQL skills and Performance tuning Deep knowledge of Oracle partitioning, Indexing and Compression Experience developing complex business logic in the Oracle database using PL/SQL.

Proven experience with any Identity, authentication, and authorization systems

Installation and management of security certificates

Scripting skills to automate jobs and ability to write and revise bash/ksh/batch/WLST scripts

Strong hands-on experience with the Oracle RMAN Backup and Restore, Point-in-time recovery, Export and Import Data Pump utilities and partitioning Oracle databases

Leverage tools like OEM, AWR, ASH, ADDM Expdp/Impdp, SQL Tuning Advisor, SQL Plan Baselines

Solid knowledge of database and application triggers stored procedures, PL/SQL, Linux/Windows environments, and third-party tools such as Toad and OEM.

Good understanding and experience with various operating systems (Linux (preferably Red Hat), Windows etc.)

Good written, verbal, interpersonal and communication skills; easily translatable between technical and business audiences.

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university.

Demonstrated track record of effectively managing infrastructure teams

Aptitude and desire to learn new technologies.

Excellent understanding in OS - redhat Linux, Sun Solaris, IBM AIX,Window
