Key Responsibilities
- Define enterprise application delivery strategy using F5 BIG-IP (LTM, GTM/DNS, WAF, APM)
- Drive data center modernization with L4-L7 service insertion models
- Establish reference architectures for load balancing, SSL offload and application security
- Own and approve :
i. HLD / LLD for F5 deployments
ii. High availability (Active/Active / Active/Standby) architectures
iii. Traffic engineering and capacity design
- Lead design authority reviews and governance processes
- Ensure alignment with enterprise security and network architecture
- Lead end-to-end delivery :
Requirements
- Manage multi-vendor ecosystem (F5, security, cloud, infra teams)
- Ensure delivery aligned to SLA/KPI and transformation objectives
- Architect and oversee :
i. F5 BIG-IP (LTM, GTM/DNS, ASM/WAF, APM, AFM)
ii. SSL offloading, TLS lifecycle, and certificate management
iii. Load balancing (L4/L7), persistence, health monitoring
i. iRules, iApps, AS3/DO for automation
ii. High availability and failover strategies
i. Data center fabrics (EVPN/VXLAN)
ii. Firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM/SOAR
iii. Identity systems (AD/LDAP) and PKI
- Define automation strategy using :
i. Ansible
ii. Python
iii. REST APIs (F5 programmability)
