Our Advanced Clinical Trial Centre opened in Feb 2024 at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and is where our teams of Clinical Trial Assistants, Coordinators, Project Leads and other medical professionals work collaboratively to provide innovative therapies to the cancer patients of WA.
We now have an opportunity for a Senior Clinical Trial Assistant to join the team on a full-time basis.
Job Description
Your Role in our Future
The Senior Clinical Trial Assistant supports the project delivery team and clinical trial coordinators by ensuring all trial documentation is effectively managed and clinical trial activities are conducted in accordance with relevant protocols. This role will offer variety as you carry out patient facing duties along with administrative tasks and will also include the following duties;
- Conduct clinical activities including ECG, vital signs and blood collection via venepuncture in an effective and efficient manner.
- Complete trial documentation and other administrative tasks, including preparing documentation for patient visits, data entry and query resolution
- Communication to participants, monitors, vendors and where appropriate, sponsors
- Perform daily real time source data quality control checks on source documentation

Your Experience
Desired Skills and Experience
The ideal applicant for this role will have previous experience providing patient care or support services in health or medical environment and will be looking for a role that truly makes a difference. You will have excellent time management skills with the ability to work with high attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
Your application must also be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience;
- Experience in a clinical trial environment (desirable) or patient facing or healthcare relate role
- Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously and within a team environment.
- Demonstrated organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple and competing deadlines.
- Advanced communication skills (verbal and written).
- Demonstrated ability to work within standards, procedures, and regulations.
- Proven computer proficiency.
