Job Summary
- Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, and service capabilities. Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to foster collaboration and innovation.
- Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions, including pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms, while ensuring compliance with company policies and standards.
- Purchase Order Management: Coordinate with the PO creation team to Create, amend, and manage purchase orders in accordance with project timelines and requirements. Ensure accurate documentation and timely processing of orders.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to stay informed about industry trends, pricing fluctuations, and emerging suppliers. Apply this information to make informed purchasing decisions.
- Multi-functional Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other collaborators to understand project needs and ensure timely procurement of materials and services.
- Quality Assurance: Collaborate with quality assurance teams to establish and monitor supplier performance metrics, ensuring that all procured items meet the required specifications and quality standards.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions to project timelines and budgets.
- Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, supplier communications, and contract agreements. Prepare and present procurement reports to management as needed.
- Continuous Improvement: Find opportunities for process improvements within the procurement function, implementing standard processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and company policies throughout the procurement process.
What You Bring
Bachelor s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably in the high voltage or electrical engineering sector.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience in supplier management.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools (e.g., SAP, Ariba).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication, follow-up and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work proactively and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to high voltage substations is a plus.
- Professional certification in procurement (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) is an advantage.
- Experience with contract management and legal aspects of procurement.
- Familiarity with project management principles and practices
