We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst with expertise in regulatory reporting to join our team.
You will play a key role in managing regulatory requirements related to position reporting across multiple jurisdictions. This role involves working closely with technology and operational teams to ensure compliance and accurate reporting. Responsibilities
- Analyze global regulatory requirements for position reporting including shareholdings, short positions, and takeover panel reporting
- Collaborate with technology and compliance teams to translate regulatory needs into system requirements
- Manage large data sets and perform data attribute interrogation using appropriate technology tools
- Oversee reporting processes ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations such as EC Transparency Directive 2, SEC 13D, F and G, and Hong Kong SFC Substantial Shareholding rules
- Provide detailed understanding of regulatory requirements for at least one jurisdiction
- Supervise and guide team members within financial services environment
- Act as liaison between technology development teams and operational or compliance units
- Prepare management reports and communicate findings to client management
- Lead business analysis activities and ensure alignment with business objectives
- Drive improvements in reporting processes and systems to enhance efficiency and compliance
- Support training and development of junior business analysts
- Monitor changes in regulatory landscape and update reporting requirements accordingly
- Manage stakeholder relationships within regulatory reporting projects
- Ensure documentation of business processes and regulatory requirements is maintained and updated
Requirements
- 7 to 10 years of experience in a position reporting within financial institutions or service providers
- Senior-level business analyst with over 4 years of business analysis experience
- Proven managerial experience within financial services, including supervisory responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of equities and related regulatory requirements
- Expertise in regulatory frameworks such as EC Transparency Directive 2, SEC 13D, F and G, and Hong Kong SFC Substantial Shareholding rules
- Experience working with large data sets and using technology tools for data interrogation
- Ability to act as an interface between technology teams and operational/compliance teams
- Competency in management reporting and client management interactions
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements for at least one jurisdiction to a detailed level
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills (B2+)
