Company Description NEXUS AIDC is building an AI-native Data Center Operating System, designed to unify and simplify complex, modern data center environments. The platform brings together DCIM, APM, FinOps, Kubernetes orchestration, AI workload management, and full-stack observability into a single intelligent system. The company focuses on autonomous infrastructure intelligence, transforming data center operations from reactive management to continuous learning and optimization.
In this role, you will
- Architect, develop, and maintain low-latency, production-grade backend microservices and RESTful APIs in Java (latest JDK versions) and Spring Boot.
- Design event-driven architectures and message-streaming integrations using Kafka to handle real-time infrastructure event streams and telemetry payload processing.
- Structure schemas, write high-performance queries, and tune database integrations in PostgreSQL and columnar databases like ClickHouse for high-volume analytics.
- Implement robust authentication, authorization, and security frameworks (e.g., Keycloak) to enforce secure multi-tenant API boundaries and data access controls.
- Proactively debug complex production issues, resolve performance bottlenecks, write comprehensive unit/integration tests, and automate deployments through Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
- Responsibly integrate AI-assisted coding tools into daily development to accelerate output, while applying rigorous code review standards to ensure AI-generated code is secure, clean, testable, and production-ready.
- Partner closely with frontend, cloud platform, SRE/infrastructure, and QA teams to deliver seamlessly integrated enterprise solutions.
Required Qualification
- 3+ years of professional backend engineering experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java (preferably latest JDK versions) and Spring Boot.
- Proven track record of designing and building robust REST APIs, microservices, and complex backend business logic.
- Strong working knowledge of PostgreSQL, including schema design, query optimization, and efficient database integration.
- Hands-on experience with Kafka or similar event/message streaming systems.
- Good understanding of backend security, authentication, authorization, API performance tuning, and scalable system design principles.
- Direct experience debugging production issues, performance bottlenecks, integration friction, and complex data flow issues.
- Experience with Git, Docker, unit testing, integration testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Comfortable using AI-assisted coding tools, with a strong ability to review, debug, evaluate, and correct AI-generated code to produce clean, secure, reliable, and production-ready software.
- Ability to work closely with frontend, cloud, infrastructure, and QA teams in a collaborative environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of ClickHouse for analytics or high-volume data storage.
- Experience with Apache Flink or similar stream-processing frameworks.
- Experience with Keycloak or similar IAM/OAuth platforms.
- Exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud environments.
- Experience handling telemetry, event streams, or high-volume data pipelines.
- Passion for using AI tools responsibly to maximize developer velocity while maintaining top-tier engineering quality.
