We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of
SENIOR ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR/ Observability Engineering.
In This Role, You Will
- Own enterprise-wide observability vision and maturity uplift.
- Convert strategy into executable quarterly portfolios with measurable business outcomes (reliability, risk reduction, cost efficiency).
- Govern policies, investment prioritization, and cross-domain alignment (SRE, Platform, Security, Product, Finance).
- Drive cultural shift toward proactive, insight-driven operations.
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Define multiyear observability vision, maturity model, and investment roadmap.
- Translate strategy into quarterly OKRs and measurable delivery plans.
- Govern unified backlog (instrumentation gaps, alert quality, coverage, cost optimization, risk mitigation).
- Establish and evolve KPI framework (coverage %, MTTR/MTTD impact, alert noise ratio, cost per telemetry unit, SLO diagnostic enablement).
- Lead alert lifecycle optimization (quality scoring, correlation, suppression, redundancy elimination).
- Maintain and actively manage risk register (data loss, saturation, schema drift, compliance) with mitigation ownership.
- Ensure policy adherence (tagging standards, retention, data quality, PII protection, RBAC, sovereignty).
- Drive adoption and maturity uplift (onboarding waves, training, scorecards, literacy programs).
- Sponsor focused innovation pilots (adaptive sampling, anomaly detection) and transition successful POCs to steady state.
- Embed observability checkpoints into delivery lifecycle (design reviews, release gates, postmortem action closure).
- Provide concise executive reporting (trends, ROI, cost vs value narrative, risk posture).
- Optimize cost and unit economics (volume governance, highcardinality control, retention tiering).
- Manage vendor relationships and minor roadmap escalations; support strategic negotiations.
- Support incident response with rapid telemetry gap closure and instrumentation followups.
- Drive continuous improvement frameworks (feedback loops, KPI retros, governance with minimal friction).
