IAM Technology is a global engineering and development team providing Identity and Access Management technology for HSBC. We provide and support many of the Bank's most critical IAM infrastructure services including Active Directory, Privileged Access Management (PAM) and Access Governance. In this role, you will act as a senior Specialist Engineer within the PAM Technology area and have opportunity to work on multiple products and technologies. The initial assignment will be working as a Devops Solutions Engineer in the Secrets Strategic program to establish consumer patterns and optimize the use of Hashi Vault within HSBC. This is a flexible and fluid engineering function with wide ranging SME engineers able to fulfil all PAM third party tooling requirements. Our stratgic vendors are Delinea and Hashicorp however we have a range of other third party tools currently supported.
Responsibilities
- Our team's Third party product scope includes; Cyberark, Delinea, HashiCorp, TPAM
- In-house product scope includes several SQL based repository and reporting tools
- Ownership of technical solution design in the Non-Human identities space driving compliance with internal controls and industry standards
- Ownership of root cause analysis of major issues and repeat incident to drive service improvement.
- Defining and helping deliver roadmap and strategy within area of work including ownership of major changes.
- Drive continuous improvement in service health and resilience.
- Represent the team to audit and regulators as needed - walking through service design
- Maintain a deep understanding of industry advancements to influence architectural and design decisions.
- Define and execute roadmaps and strategies. Serve as a key participant in PAM strategy programmes.
- Develop and maintain robust relationships with all PAM vendors, including contractor agencies.
- Liaise between technical teams and senior management, translating technical details into business-relevant insights.
- Manage out-of-hours work when required.
- Lead a pod to achieve defined objectives. Promote knowledge sharing and mentoring within the team.
Essentials Requirements
- 5-years+ experience working in Cybersecurity (Identity and Access Management preferred)
- 3 years+ experience working with Non-Human identities, Secrets Management (Hashicorp Vault preferred)
- Deep understanding of Devops lifecycle and how IAM and Secrets Management plays a critical role
- Preferred Hashicorp Vault and Terraform certifications
- Experience of improving the security position of services through adoption of PAM and Secrets solutions
- Experience of data management SQL database, data repositories such as Splunk, reporting such as Grafana
- Experience of designing and building automation processes using Ansible AAP including creation of playbooks
- Experience of managing crisis calls, troubleshooting complex issues and building root cause remediation plans
- Experience of designing monitoring and alerting solutions at enterprise level (Splunk, Grafana, App Dynamics, SCOM)
- Understanding and experience of technologies deployed at a large scale in a global IT enterprise
- Experience of working in an Agile team managing work in Jira and engagements in Jira Service Desk
