Job description

A Project Architect must design, plans, and oversees the development of buildings and other structures ensuring compliance with codes, budgets, and schedules. Responsibilities include principal architects meetings, reviewing detailed blueprints using CAD software, coordinating with engineers and contractors, conducting site visits for quality control, managing project budgets and timelines, and ensuring all work adheres to specifications and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Documentation:

Review architectural designs and draft blueprints using CAD software to verify technical drawings and specifications for construction.

Project Management:

Manage project timelines and budgets, ensuring projects are completed within scope and financial constraints.

Coordination:

Act as a central point of communication between Principal Architect, engineers, contractors, and construction teams to ensure smooth project execution.

Site Supervision:

Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress, ensure quality, and verify adherence to the design specifications.

Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure all plans and designs comply with relevant building codes, safety regulations, and other regulatory requirements.

Budget & Cost Control:

Review project budgets and work to keep projects within assigned financial limits.

Reporting:

Create and maintain project progress reports for stakeholders.

Key Skills & Qualifications

Education & Licensure: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture

Technical Proficiency: Expertise in computer-aided design (CAD) software like AutoCAD.

Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with Principal Architect, team members, and stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.

Project Management Skills: Strong organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple aspects of a project simultaneously.

Problem-Solving: Capacity to identify and resolve issues that arise during design and construction.

Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail is crucial for accurate designs and quality control.

Collaboration: Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
