Job Title: Senior Application Developer IBM ODM

Role Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled
Senior Application Developer with expertise in IBM Operational Decision Manager (ODM) to design, develop, and maintain business rules solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in IBM ODM, hands-on experience in integration with enterprise applications, and the ability to lead solution delivery in a fast-paced Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement business rules and decision services using IBM ODM.
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to translate requirements into decision logic and rule artifacts.
- Perform rule modeling, authoring, validation, and deployment of decision services.
- Integrate IBM ODM with enterprise applications using Java, REST/SOAP APIs, and messaging systems.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers in the team.
- Conduct code reviews, rule governance, and performance optimization of decision services.
- Ensure compliance with best practices, coding standards, and security guidelines.
- Work in an Agile/Scrum environment, contributing to sprint planning, estimation, and retrospectives.
- Troubleshoot production issues, provide root cause analysis, and deliver timely resolutions.
Required Skills & Experience
- 810 years of IT experience, with minimum 5+ years in IBM ODM (Rule Authoring, Rule Execution, Decision Center, Decision Server Insights).
- Strong expertise in Java/J2EE, Spring, RESTful web services, and integration patterns.
- Experience in business rules management, rule governance, and decision modeling.
- Good understanding of relational databases (DB2, Oracle, SQL Server).
- Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and DevOps practices (CI/CD, Git, Jenkins).
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with cloud-native deployments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Exposure to event-driven architecture and Decision Server Insights (DSI).
- Familiarity with Business Process Management (BPM) and integration with BPM platforms.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for ODM deployment automation.
Education
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
