About The Department
Institutional Services Accounting ensures accurate investment accounting for client portfolios. The team records cash transactions, reconciles positions with custodians, and supports portfolio managers with timely reporting. Joining this group means working in a collaborative, detail-driven environment where you'll gain expertise in financial operations and process improvement.
How You Will Add Value
Core Responsibilities
- You will complete reconciliations and daily processes on time.
- You will review and sign off transactions breaching thresholds.
- You will support analysts in resolving cash or security breaks promptly.
- You will monitor reporting requirements to meet deliverables.
- You will prepare and review reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- You will propose process improvements when inefficiencies are identified.
- You will assist in workflow planning for adequate coverage.
- You will train and cross-train team members.
- You will contribute to projects, including requirements gathering and rollout.
Problem Solving & Decision Making
- You will analyze trends and recommend preventive measures.
- You will guide resolution of non-routine issues and escalate when needed.
- You will liaise with internal and external teams to resolve discrepancies.
- You will test and recommend system enhancements for efficiency.
Other Responsibilities
- You will compile management reports and performance metrics.
- You will track goals and suggest workflow improvements.
- You will participate in meetings and special projects.
- You will maintain updated department procedures.
What Will Help You Be Successful in This Role
Experience & Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance (or equivalent experience).
- 35 years of accounting experience in financial services.
- Knowledge of mutual fund regulations and accounting standards.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite.
- Familiarity with SimCorp Dimension and Reconciliation Manager is a plus.
Soft Skills
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Work Shift Timings - 2:00 PM - 11:00 PM IST
